Término histórico: Durante la guerra de independencia española (1808-1812), se designaba "afrancesado" a todo aquel español que se congraciaba o tenia relacion con los franceses (invasores) o tenia gustos franceses. También se designaba por esa epoca, a los traidores.
La denominación afrancesados surgió en España cuando los ministros y la aristocracia juraron fidelidad al rey José I tras la renuncia al trono de Fernando VII y Carlos IV, presionados por Napoleón, y se hizo extensivo a todos aquellos españoles que, durante la ocupación francesa, colaboraron con la misma o con la Administración del rey José, ya fuese por interés personal o por la creencia en que el cambio de dinastía redundaría en la modernización de España. fuente: Wikipedia
