Para el norte de Chile, la palabra wate significa baño, pero un baño sin alcanarillado ;uno armado, simplemente cavado en la tierra.
Ejemplo : "De lo viejo y polillado el wate de fue a fondo, debemos cubrirlo pronto antes que alguien pueda caere en el agujero lleno de heces."
