Antes de la llegada de los españoles a nuestras américa, guaricha era la mujer que asesoraba a los caciques gobernantes, en temas de gobierno. Llegaron estos visitantes y tergiversaron el término, ellas, las inteligentes, eran entonces brujas, chismosas y prostitutas, y así, quitarles el poder de gobernar, deslegitimar su jerarquía. Por qué? porque no eran de su cultura, porque su conocimiento no era científico racional moderno, su conocimiento era nativo y muy organizado.
Ejemplo : "Yo deseo ser una guaricha y generar una escuela de guarichas, una escuela de conocimiento de mujeres.
Cualquiera no es una guaricha"
