Otras veces es utilizada para describir la fuerza o resistencia fisica admirable. Se considera un termino altamente despectivo. Generalmente es empleado en estados del sureste del pais.

Yope, es una de las etnias existentes en méxico, son los actualmente conocidos como tlapanecos, hablantes de la lengua me´phaa, hablado en azoyú, pascala del oro,acatepec, zapotitlán tablas, malinaltepec, en general la costa chica y montaña del estado de guerrero.
Ejemplo : "Los yopes son unas de los grupos a los cuales los aztecas nunca pudieron someter."
